"Music, like all true art, should strive to reveal the eternal truths that are beyond the reach of language and logic."

- Nikolai Medtner

Nikita Demidenko is a musician whose artistry extends beyond mere performance. With a passion for translating the language of music, he transforms the notes into narratives that resonate with the listener, offering a profound insight into the composer's voice. Nikita views each musical piece as a repository of emotions, thoughts, and memories, which he meticulously presents with devotion to the composer’s vision, ensuring every nuance is thoughtfully conveyed.

Nikita’s journey at the Royal Academy of Music was marked by significant achievements, including a full entrance scholarship and the Graham Roberts Scholarship. In his first year, he received the Eileen Rowe Musical Trust award, enabling him to engage deeply with various projects at the Academy. He showcased his talent at the annual RAM Piano Festivals and took part in the 'Words and Music' project, where he not only performed as a pianist but also contributed poetry, crafting epigraphs for Schumann’s Albumblätter Op. 124.

Oh, the beauty of a leaf
In its newborn shade!
When you see
Their graceful movement
It will persuade
That while the branch weaves
You will not meet dead leaves!

from Nikita's epigraphs for Albumblätter Op. 124. by R. Schumann

As the founder of the Forgotten Melodies Society, Nikita provides a platform for students from London conservatories to perform rare and underappreciated works. The society’s inaugural concert, held at the Razumovsky Academy Recital Hall, celebrated the music of Nikolai Medtner, a composer dear to Nikita’s heart.

While Medtner remains a central figure in his repertoire, Nikita’s interests span a diverse range of composers, including Sergei Lyapunov, Adolf Henselt, Ernesto Lecuona, Masashi Hamauzu, and Felix Blumenfeld, all of whom he passionately advocates for through his performances.

Nikita is also the founder and Artistic Director of the Muse and Fashion Collective, an initiative that bridges classical music with fashion, dance, and visual arts, pushing the boundaries of the traditional music industry. A significant focus of the collective is on charity work, such as performing for children at the Royal London Hospital and supporting The Child Brain Injury Trust through benefit concerts.
